Back in 1998, Adelita McGrath was an aggressive female skateboarder from Brazil traveling the world and competing in the pro street skateboarding category. In her spare time, between traveling, competing and skateboarding, young Adelita was involved in selling ads, attending industry-related trade shows, creating art designs and writing for the first girls-only skateboarding magazine in the world - Check it Out Girls Skate Magazine.
In 2000, Adelita McGrath definitively moved to the US to skateboard, compete and study. Adelita attended classes at Golden West College in Huntington Beach and studied Business Administration at California State University Long Beach. After a knee injury, Adelita decided to focus on her business career.
In 2007, Adelita started to help local businesses in Southern California to market their products and services through internet marketing.
In 2008, Mrs. McGrath participated in the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce as an ambassador, attended various networking meetings at Los Angeles Buildings and Owners Association (BOMA LA), and served in the Marketing Committee of the Junior League of Long Beach.
In 2010, Adelita started Mariposa Marketing, a marketing agency specializing in web marketing. Adelita is passionate about technology and helping business and people to thrive in such a harsh economic environment.
As an athlete at heart, Adelita kept practicing Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art, skateboarding recreationally, and recently became involved in training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with the Carlson Gracie Team in Murrieta, CA, where she currently resides with her husband and two children.
